Suppressed Realities
Suppressed Realities is an experimental poetry anthology that amplifies the voices of African poets who delve into the nuanced layers of identity, culture, and societal challenges. This digital collection serves as a platform for Kenyan, East African, and African poetry that confronts and reimagines the narratives often overlooked or silenced in mainstream discourse.
By asking contributing poets to respond to any material in mainstream media, the anthology hopes to uncover perspectives hidden from view.
The anthology is not only a celebration of creative expression, but a call to action, inviting readers to engage with the poems and reflect on their own perspectives. Through the unfiltered honesty of its contributors, Suppressed Realities hopes to inspire a deeper understanding of the human experience.
